Hey, I’m Essence

I go by the name of Essence Over Easy but most people know me as Essence High or Essence Abbott (yeah, I will discuss why I have two different names another time. 

My introduction is not going to be long and drawn out because as old as I am I still have no idea who I am yet. I know I like to cook, I know I like to travel, I know I like to shop and I LOVE to eat. We’re going to figure me out together, ok? 

I’m single and dating is too complicated. You’ll see a lot a self care and solo dating talk on this blog. 

I am passionate about style, traveling, food, saving money and finding ways of making extra money.

I’ m a mother of 3 adult children and I’m also a grandmother. I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, but currently residing near Dallas, Texas. 

Sweets are my weakness. I barely wear fake nails so don’t be surprised when you see numbs on most of my photos.

 Although I know how the word is pronounced I still pronounce the “L” in salmon. I have social anxiety and made this blog to force myself to get out of my shell and push the social limits and be comfortable in my own skin while sharing the journey with you.
